Lokesh Kanithi is a Film Music composer and Designer based in Mumbai. He comes from Visakhapatnam. Being born in Kharagpur (West Bengal) and brought up in Visakhapatnam had a strong cultural impact on him. He came across vivid cultural colors that had a deep influence on his upbringing.

His school’s music room allowed him to discover his potential in music. He had an instinctual understanding of rhythm which led him to become a natural percussionist.

Lokesh Kanithi studied Sound recording and design at SRFTI, Kolkata, and simultaneously pursued his music grades in Music theory & composition from ABRSM, London. It was here he developed an appreciation for films and met like-minded people and explored the technicalities of Sound design and recording for films. This helped him in honing his craft and becoming a better craftsman at his art. He moved to Mumbai after his post-graduation and has been living his passion.
